Excerpt from the Bannock County press release:
Filling out veteran’s benefits can be complicated. The Bannock County Department of Veterans Services is here to help.
Beginning July 13, the Department of Veterans Services will host monthly outreach sessions for people living in South Bannock County.
“We understand how difficult it can be for people living in McCammon, Arimo and Downey to get to our Pocatello office, so we decided to bring our office to them,” said Melissa Hartman, Director of Alumni Services. fighters.
Every third Wednesday of the month, veterans and family members can speak with a veterans advocate at the Downey Public Library, 18 N. Main Street, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The first of these events will take place on Wednesday, July 13.
A Veterans Advocate can help local veterans connect and claim benefits they have earned while serving in the United States.
Veterans Services is available at Pocatello Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office is located on the third floor of the Idaho State University Student Union Building in the Veteran Student Services Center.
