Church’s Texas Chicken™ and Texas Chicken™, one of the world’s largest quick-service chicken restaurant chains, announced that it has named industry veteran Joe Guith as brand CEO, effective August 1, 2022. As Church’s Texas Chicken looking to accelerate a new phase of growth, Guith brings extensive experience in the consumer and restaurant industries as well as deep expertise within a highly franchised organization.

Guith joins Church’s Texas Chicken ™ of Focus Brands, where he was President of Restaurant Category, overseeing a portfolio of more than 1,500 restaurants across the Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAlister’s Deli and Schlotzsky’s brands. Previously, he held brand president roles at McAlister’s Deli and Cinnabon, with both brands achieving steady growth, expanded customer base and improved unit-level economics during his tenure. Earlier in his career, Guith served as general manager of KFC’s Southern Territory, a region that included more than 1,500 restaurants, more than 200 franchisees and system revenues of $1.5 billion. He has also held several positions for The Coca-Cola Company globally, working with franchise bottlers on six continents.

In addition to continued growth, Guith’s priorities at Church’s Texas Chicken will lead knowledge-driven technology investments to reflect changing consumer behaviors, such as an enhanced digital customer experience, including a new mobile app and loyalty program.
