Dr. Pipas’ experience enhances Rho’s oncology capabilities

Marc Pipas, MD, a leading oncologist, as Senior Medical Director. In this global role, Dr. Pipas will provide exceptional medical expertise to sponsors and leverage Rho’s expertise in the therapeutic area, including oncology.

More recently, Dr. Pipas has held leadership positions in three Cambridge-based oncology biotechnology companies. He has been an investigator for over 35 trials and is the author of 40 peer-reviewed articles and over 60 scientific abstracts.

Dr. Pipas’ clinical research and leadership expertise was built on a long and successful career in clinical oncology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center/Dartmouth Medical School where he attained the rank of Professor of Medicine. Dr. Pipas has led gastrointestinal oncology research activities at Norris Cotton Cancer Center, an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, for more than a decade. He has years of experience as a member of the Human Subjects Protection and Data Oversight Board and spent two years as Medical Director of the Office of Clinical Research at the Cancer Center. Dr. Pipas received his MD from the SUNY-Upstate Health Science Center (Syracuse, New York). He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
