A Veterans Services Representative (VSR) from the Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs

Affairs (KCVAO) The Salina Field Office will make regular visits to McPherson on March 8 to help veterans and their family members apply for state and federal benefits.

Some of the important benefits available to veterans and their family members are:

Health Care and Prescription Coverage for Veterans and Eligible Dependents

Compensation for service-related medical conditions

Pensions for non-service-related disabilities

Pensions for surviving spouses of veterans

National Guard and Disabled Veterans Hunting/Fishing Permits and State Park Permits

Distinctive military license plates

Medallions from Vietnam

Home loans

Benefits for education

Home loans

Funeral services

Assistance in obtaining the DD 214 form or medals

The KCVAO VSR will be located at McPherson Co. Attorney Bldg., 122 W Marlin St, 2nd Floor

Conference room on the second Tuesday of each ODD month (JAN, MAR, MAY, JUL, SEP, NOV) between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Please call (785) 559-0066 or (785) 823-2862 to schedule an appointment. Visits without an appointment will be accepted depending on the places available. All appropriate state, county, and city COVID protocol guidelines will be enforced when meeting with the VSR.

The KCVAO is a state government agency that provides free assistance to veterans and eligible family members with matters relating to veterans benefits.
